BOUNDARY FALLS CAMPGROUND AND PICNIC AREA

Public BBQ

A small campground of about eight sites in the Gibraltar Range, with Boundary Falls a five-minute walk away. The track down to the base has many steps but a handrail the whole way, and at the bottom is an excellent swimming hole with a mostly sandy floor and crystal clear water. Sites are large, well spread and mostly shaded, each with a fireplace and barbecue plate, and firewood is provided though it runs low. There are electric barbecues, picnic tables and drop toilets in the picnic area, and a small horse yard for riders, though it will not take a float. Longer walks from here run anywhere from three hours to a full day. The toilets do not always keep up with demand, trail signage is poor and fallen branches go uncleared. The access track is one way, and day trippers have a habit of speeding through the campsites.
